Super Bowl XLVI Countdown: Giants -vs- Patriots 2012
by F. Ron Smith on February 1, 2012Super Bowl XLVI is only a few days away and it will be an epic battle between warriors with great coaching. Last week I discussed how to be prepared for the Big Game Party, what to have and how to be remembered for your Super Bowl Bash. Today, I’m just going to talk shop and try to bring up some points of discussion for Sunday’s big match-up.
Now, I have a feeling that this game is going to come down to the wire. Coughlin and Belichick are two of the best coaches around, coupled with Manning and Brady at the helm (two of the top quarterbacks in the NFL), this game is going to be an all out battle. Some people are saying that the Pats are out for revenge, for their loss in Super Bowl 42. The only thing that the Patriots are thinking about is how to win the 2012 Super Bowl. Sure, it makes a great story for the media, but when it comes down to it, it’s just another great match-up with two great teams for another intense Super Bowl Sunday.
Some folks are also saying that Bill Belichick will out-coach Tom Coughlin. Don’t get me wrong, Belichick is an outstanding coach, one of the best, but Coughlin has proven himself time and time again. Coughlin really showed what he is made of in the playoffs, and turned some key players around during the season. It really comes down to team play on February 5th.
Eli Manning and Tom Brady are two players that can really step up to the plate and meet the hype. Brady is one of the best that has ever played the game, and Manning knows how to step up and get the ball to his receivers. Any way you spin it, this is going to be an elite match-up and, surely, a game to remember. Two great teams, two great coaches, and two great quarterbacks. Rematch Super Bowl 2008.
I would love to hear your thoughts about the big game, in the comment section below. Thanks for your time.
Who’s your favorite to win it?
